Kayla took this picture of the newly promoted Captain Douglas McEldowney. We had a great day in Long Beach the day of the promotion. Doug's parents, Bob and Mary, came from Hawaii. Bob put Doug's Captain's bars on his beret and I put the velcro patch on the front of his jacket. I sure was glad Bob was there to do the hard part.
After the promotion, we all spent the day touring the Queen Mary. For someone who's 6 months+ pregnant I didn't do too badly. It was great to see my in-laws and spend time together as a family.
